WHISKY SOUR

The Whiskey Sour first appeared in "The Bartender's Guide: How To Mix Drinks" in 1862. Royal Navy sailors had been drinking a very similar concoction for decades. However, many credit this whiskey-based version to Englishman Elliott Stubb: he landed in Iquique, then in Peru, opened a bar, mixed local limon de pica with whiskey and sugar, and created a timeless classic.
